Easily allows you to manage user roles. You can create, edit, delete and manage capabilities, also copy existing roles.
I gave this 3 stars because it has another plugin that extends functionality, adding a notification bar. Sadly it does not appear for any user other than the admin.
More importantly this plugin failed to hide of all things on the menu, itself! Even though I unchecked (Roles)WPFront for the new role I created, it still appeared when I logged in as that test user.
If the plugin can't block/hide access to it's own menu how can I trust it's capabilities for any other function?
Ironically I can block the a menu called "Links", which does not exist!

This plugin is extremely useful for so many things, in my site the users have a certain level of backend access, this is great for customising exactly what they can and can't see. And also by using the deprecated user levels I was able to add custom user types to the Authors list on the post page.
After I installed this plugin, only admin users can use the TinyMCE editor on both Add new post and edit an existing post. Author and Editor users can Add new post too, but when they edit an existing post - there will be error with the post content in white and ~~~~~~~~ ... ~~~~~~~ line.
If I deactivate this plugin the TinyMCE works well again. I asked on TinyMCE forum and they said this about Role - hope someone will give some hints to solve this!
Great plugin, works well. Probably would recommend removing the extra menu item at the bottom of the WP dashboard but other than that great job!
