Reduce image file sizes and improve performance using the Smush.it API within WordPress.
Not useful for wp sites with bulk images.
Produces errors like these:
Processing comp_musikarche-logo-2… — [original] 1133 x 641: ERROR: http://staging.netzverwaltung.veryExample.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2014/01/comp_musikarche-logo1.jpg must be within the website home URL (http://www.veryExample.org) — [thumbnail] 150 x 150: ERROR: http://staging.netzverwaltung.veryExample.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2014/01/comp_musikarche-logo1-150x150.jpg must be within the website home URL (http://www.veryExample.org) — [medium] 300 x 169: ERROR: http://staging.netzverwaltung.veryExample.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2014/01/comp_musikarche-logo1-300x169.jpg must be within the website home URL (http://www.veryExample.org) — [large] 1024 x 579: ERROR: http://staging.netzverwaltung.veryExample.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2014/01/comp_musikarche-logo1-1024x579.jpg must be within the website home URL (http://www.veryExample.org) — [preview64x64] 64 x 64: ERROR: http://staging.netzverwaltung.veryExample.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2014/01/comp_musikarche-logo1-64x64.jpg must be within the website home URL (http://www.veryExample.org)
Basically ruins some photos with inconsistent over-dithering. Uninstalled and and things went back to looking good.
Cannot Bulk Smush.it, even 3 images it too much to ask
It worked great for about 2 months. Then I could no longer upload images to gallery. It would take about 5 minutes per image. Deactivating this plugin solved the issue instantly.
Used to be a delay when uploading images, this I could live with but now I just get http error. Dissabled the plugin and instant problem solved. Across three WP websites on different servers. Dissapointed :(
Hopefully dev will tweak it.
Totally destroyed my site after a bulk smush- this is going to cost me dearly to get a pro to fix!
So very very unhappy - steer well clear!!!!
Page request times became so slow we had to deactivate
Installing their plugins and use them at your own peril, as soon as you have one you get a message asking to also activate their dashboard.
The scary thing is there is no way of getting rid of this message unless you deactivate all of the plugins that you have installed, sadly their plugins are top notch but come with this malware.
If you don't install their dashboard plugin then this message will just keep bugging you until you do switch it on and then you get spammed even more to purchase more of their products.
Please wmpudev crew give your customers the option of switching this rubbish warning off!!
All I get is "bad response from smush.it" for every graphic on every site. Tried at least fifteen sites.
