Reduce image file sizes and improve performance using the Smush.it API within WordPress.
I saw a small increase in site performance but after trying to upload an image it has broken my entire site with an Internal Server Error. I've tried several things but its still not working!??
Too often the plugin hangs, with no progress indicator. More often than not, I get an error message that it did not connect to the service. I find it less frustrating to mass upload the images directly to Yahoo and upload the results to my media folder.
I hope the WPMU team can salvage this project, in the meantime I will look for another solution, perhaps Cloudinary.
After last update, bulk smush.it stopped working and individual smush.it takes ages.
Alas this plugin doesn't work with the newer WordPress. But.. it was amazing for the earlier versions.
