Exports your database, does a find and replace on URLs and file paths, then allows you to save it to your computer.
This plugin is a life saver when migrating websites to a different url and/or filepath. Thanks allot.
By far the easiest way to refresh content down from production into a dev or sandbox environment.
Wow, this is hot. It just helped me through a monster maintenance, one with a ridiculous number of custom sidebars that would have had all broken file paths without this beauty, not to mention the other 6 zillion file paths.
Easy to use, and did just what I hoped it would do!
Thanks a million!!!
Worked just as expressed. Helpful and time saving.
If you migrate wordpress sites on a regular basis this is the plugin to have. Thank you so much for making all our loves easier.
I was having trouble with an Elegant Theme and the "timthumb script" (I think) after moving my site to a new domain. Many, not all of my image links were broken. I used this plugin to export the database from the the old url and it solved the issues. Took but a few minutes. Thanks.
Makes it very easy to migrate you site from A to B.
Wonderful! I lost a lot of time trying to migrate the local server to the production server. I had many problems caused by the serialization of widgets and themes, with this plugin, I could very easily export the database, avoiding "search" and "replace" from the text editor. This plugin is required for those wishing to migrate professionally. I can migrate my site and others... thank you from Colombia!.
Finally, it is easy to clone a site to a new server, or change a site to a new domain name (which can include migrating from your development server to the production site.)
1. Set up the new site
2. Copy the contents of the old /wp-content to the new site
3. Use the plugin to fix and save the old database
4. Drop all the entries in the new database
5. Import the fixed database from the old site to the new.
Done. Couldn't be easier.
