Adds a splash page to your site that lets visitors know your site is down for maintenance. Full access to the back- & front-end is optional.
Every since I downloaded this plug in, Ive been getting 10+ SPAM comment posts , on a un-published site/domain.
Deleting plug in... OH and did i mention it doesn't even work for its purpose? NO back end , under maintenance abilities...
Deleting this plugin from the svn repository without any warning to current users is completely unacceptable. This does nothing to warn current users that activation of this plugin will render their website unusable and it also breaks access to this plugin's support webpages on the wordpress.org website. The support page for this plugin could only be found though a Google Search on the plugin's name.
I wold NOT recommend any of this author's plugins due to poor support.
It displayed the Maintenance page if you weren't logged in. However, if you were logged in the web site request would time out with no response.
This plugin makes function calls, probably to some back-end server. Everything worked fine for a week or so, then bang - the lrss_check_update() call hangs, finally timing out after 120 seconds, essentially causing a 2-minute delay on the load of every single page. My apologies to the plugin creator, but this for this even to be possible is bad design and unacceptable.
Plugin deactivates itself for no reason, leaving the site open to the public.
I used to use this on my old site. I now put it on my new one, but it won't work. All it displays is the "simple text" theme. I can't get any of the other one's to work. Not sure why.
