Reconfigures the wp_mail() function to use SMTP instead of mail() and creates an options page to manage the settings.
Easy to configure email
That's what I was searching for!
I was searching for the possibility to change all the SMTP settings.
This plugin has everything you need and it works realy good!
Thanks a lot for development!
Thanks, works fine always
To be frank, I was a little concerned seeing the last update of this plugin was from 2011 over 2 years ago.
But what sold me to try it was the recent positive Reviews. I have installed and working great with using SSL sending to a remote server.
TIP: If you are using an external SMTP service that you make sure the PORT you are wanting to send with, that PORT is OPEN in your server's Firewall PORT is OPEN for OUTGOING. Otherwise you will not connect to the remote server.
Good Plugin! Thanks
I've been using this plug-in for a while now - and on a variety of different sites. Callum has done a great job in building this solid plug-in.
I realise some users are concerned about the security of the passwords - and it would be great to see this addressed, but the plug-in author has set out his reasons for this, and what he has promised he has delivered.
my buddypress site was not sending activation email but this plugin solve the problem for me.
when trying to send a test email through SMTP (using gmail SMTP server) it takes about 10 seconds. When using the php_mail() function it takes 30+ seconds to send the test email - while doing this the page is stuck loading. Any idea why this would be?
I had been trying to find the code within to database and couldn't find a functioning plugin to fix my undesired WordPress email issue. This plugin worked perfectly! I used the PHP option and sent a test. I can't believe I spent HOURS trying to fix this when your plugin took me two minutes. THANK YOU!!!
