Reconfigures the wp_mail() function to use SMTP instead of mail() and creates an options page to manage the settings.
I'm using this on countless sites, it works perfectly and couldn't be easier to set up. If you have any emails being sent through your site, you want it. Period.
If anyone has 'problems' in not receiving emails, it's most certainly not this plugin, they should check their settings and their junk folders.
the SMTP password appears in clear both in the database and on the settings page. This is not acceptable to me.
Then if there is a mistake in the configuration when you do test email it just hangs forever and I had to both delete the plugin AND reboot firefox for my site to be back up.
Really not good!
I found Configure SMTP that works just fine, without any of the 2 issues cited above.
Setup a Digital Ocean VPS with LEMP configuration, and was going to have to learn how to setup mail server...but this make better sense for my situation.
This will save me soo much time too!
Thanks for the wicked community contribution yo!
But the password field is not hashed let alone hidden. Anyone with Admin control can view the email password. That alone makes this plug-in unusable.
Doesn't consistently send mail, but when it doesn't, depending on where the problem occurs, there is no notification. This makes it unusable for me.
Thank you, making life much easier.
Works like charm, it saved my life since my hosting server disable mail() function.
