Open external links in a new window or tab, adding "nofollow", set link icon, styling, SEO friendly options and more. Easy install and go.
Support seems to be lacking. As of today, 2 out of 9 issues have been resolved in the last 2 months? Seems 30 minutes ago a response was made on post from 1 month ago. Free plugin or not, there are bugs (including getting resolutions). You get what you pay for right?
helping support from a new dady.
so developer is in baby time at the moment. ;-)
Works great. Support fixed my problem quickly. Recommend this plugin.
Very nice plugin thank you :)
However, I have modified it to extend its functionality + fix some bugs please check my article here if you want to encrypt your links rather than just encode them which is not secure.
Our ADA consultant advised that we add external link icons throughout our site to make it easier to navigate for people with disabilities. This seemed a daunting task until we found WP External links! This plugin has many more features we will probably use eventually, but ADA accessibility was our main goal. Initially, we had a bit of trouble getting the plugin to work out of the box, but it turned out to be an issue with the Nano3 theme that we were able to reconcile. A tip if you use anchor links - the current version of the plugin needs the full URL or it counts the anchor link as an external link. Support was speedy in helping us figure this out. I would recommend this plugin to anyone looking to retrofit their site to be ADA-friendly and automate the process of labeling external going forward.
Very good plugin, thank you :)
However it was adding 7.8 seconds to my sites load time as found by S3 Profiler. If it was fast, more inline with a great number of plugins I'd reinstall it in a second.
This plugin is the only working plugin i found. It can make all external links even button links nofollow which i didn't find in any other plugin. Its amazing!
Does what it says, but we wanted to use it to force nofollow on all blog posts on a MultiSite and it's not possible since every blog can change its own nofollow settings independently.
Thanks! It worked on my site!
