Take complete control over the WordPress content editor.
WP EDIT is very unique and has mutiple functions.
For your reference:
I have WPFront User Role Editor installed and when I logged in as Author and add new post, or edit existing post it break my site. It doesn't happen when I logged in and use the plugin as Admin user!
Glad to see continuous feature additions and quick fixes. Much better than Ultimate Tiny MCE.
I've productively used Ultimate TinyMCE for several years, but switched recently to WPEdit.
Now, a little bit hesitantly but with high expectations, I'm about to upgrade to the Pro version. I've been impressed with Josh Lobe's ongoing work (and his open communication with customers) for a long time now, and his description of the new stuff in Pro sounds more than useful.
Just installed on a clients website - great plugin! The Pro version offers more - in particular the Google Web Font possibilities. Plan to install for all our clients - Thanks
I've used Ultimate TinyMCE (the free version) for years on many, many sites. I've donated a few times, but I'm sure not enough looking back on the benefits I have reaped. I especially love the Code Magic button.
I'm going with the $70 version for now, to be able to update my own websites. I'll tack on a small fee to my hosting and upkeep charges to add it to clients' sites in the future.
Many thanks for the long hours Josh.
I have been using the WP Edit predecessor for some time and have found it very useful. I felt it is now time to purchase the Pro version in order that the developer be compensated for their efforts.
In doing so I hope and pray all developers keep in mind that their product is one of many worthy plugins. They need to be conscious of the fact that most of us have a limited number of dollars to spend.
Thank you and keep up the good work. God bless.
Gone is Ultimate TinyMCE w/ WordPress 3.9.1.
Tried a few other plugins and ended up w/ WP Edit Free. Was surpised by limit on features. Plan to move up to WP Edit Pro based on past experience with Josh Lobe.
I had been using Ultimate TinyMCE for ages. Then WP 3.9 came along and messed everything up (Including all my OP1 Sites where the short code no longer works!).
I made the switch to WP Edit after Josh helpfully pointed me in that direction. I must confess I was very disappointed. The fact that we can't even select font colour using WP Edit seems crazy. Nevertheless, the man has to eat - and I need his coding skills to make the editor usable - so WP Edit Pro it is!
There are some other awesome features in Pro (I have been reading about it) so I am getting that right now.
This really blows the barrier between starter and pros. No more frustrations what-so-ever! Amazing...
