WP eCommerce is a free, powerful plugin that empowers you to sell anything online, quickly and easily.
WP E-Commerce offers possibility to override templates in your theme. But the templates customization is difficult because the code is messy and dirty, and many parts of HTML are hard-coded in the plugin core.
WP e-Commerce is best WordPress plugin for creating shops. (already using it third year)
We are receiving too many orders from same person. Check out this screen shot. http://prntscr.com/nqlhx Only one of the orders completed. Not exactly sure what was going on but it looks like we get order confirmations even when the order isn't completed? Need to look into this. The screen shot indicates only one of her orders were completed and went through. Odd that we get order notifications for orders that were not completed!
I've come down a long and hard road of trying to make WPEC work with several of the blog themes available at WP.org with only minimal success enjoyed until the next upgrade of WPEC. While I have seen excellent implementations of WPEC, none were in blog themes. My results with the 2012 theme were awful, and in all fairness to WPEC developers, this probably wasn't their fault. My conclusion is if anyone wants to run this, they should consider purchasing a theme made to run it.
Now, about support - it doesn't appear to exist. So if you think you will get all straightened out by purchasing Gold-Cart, you are wrong. If you want to give them 40 bucks, do it for the sake of supporting independent software authors. For me there weren't any features in it worth paying for, but I did anyway.
WPEC is fairly simple to use, and fairly flexible. I found the included shipping options to be rather lackluster but adequate with an additional plugin.
Don't expect you will set up an e-commerce site for nothing. It is likely you will have to buy some functionality not included unless you know how to make it, but WPEC extensions tend to be affordable.
was a big fan of this plugin when it first came out.
sad to have to report that i always have problems when upgrading.
hope they get their act back together.
Very good plugin! Even better support!
with the new version 22.214.171.124 google merchant cannot get the feed not at all. The version 126.96.36.199 google do not reconize weight.
I am coming back 188.8.131.52 w!th WP 3.5 and then all re-work correctly.
Horrible, horrible documentation, don't even think about using this if you're a user without any WordPress knowledge and just want a easy to install and implement plugin.
After trying to make the thing work with a custom theme, I gave up. There are pretty much a lot of other better E-Cart/Commerce plugins out there that don't make you shred your hair follicles as much as this.
I'm pretty sure they made the documentation cluttered and hard to read so they can earn money through "1-on-1 Premium Support", which costs you $47 a QUESTION. Yes, that's right. ONE support question costs you $47 before your shop even sees a sale.
Online help is limited as well because nobody (except the developers) know how to use the plugin themselves.
Just because they have lots of downloads doesn't mean they're going to be good (that's what I found out, sadly).
This plugin has so many bugs. It loads unacceptably slowly. Incompatible with many other plugins. Avoid!
WP e-commerce has had a great update,
