This plugin creates an image slideshow in your theme, using the jQuery Cycle plugin. You can upload/delete images via the administration panel, and di
Installed fresh on 3.5.1 and works fine.
Have used this slider for years on many websites, however due to it's basic nature we are now moving over to using NivoSlider instead.
WP-cycle is Highly recommended if you want a easy quick to set up slider.
Works as designed. Would be nice to see better documentation, such as
Make sure you set the image size, then upload the image. When the image is uploaded, it is resized to the size that you set.
I just downloaded the plugin, very easy to setup and get loading on the page. However the slider isn't changing, it just stays displaying the static image. I went to the developer website and to the support form and got a 404.
This works really nice.
I've been trying so long inserting the php code into my template, but it doesn't work.
I've followed step by step your vid on writing your php code into a template but it doesn't lead to a good end. Please tell me what i can do. Thank you!!!!
Some frequent visitors have suggested I change the settings of the photos that change at the top. I have the WP-Cycle running but understand it runs in the order photos were loaded. I also have seen a thought about changing this or giving more control. I agree and would like to see 'Random' as an option. This is only recommendation I have as I really like it otherwise. I have changed the speed at which photos change which has gotten a few good comments.
This plugin is good, but it's lacking just a few minor things that would make it absolutely awesome.
- Rearrange slides
- Optional Captions
- Alt Text on images
I just finished adding this plugin to my site and I find it great, but not perfect. There are three things that would make it perfect:
1. The ability to reorder the images.
2. The ability to send the visitor to a new page instead of sending him/her off page.
3. The ability to work on a sidebar without adding an additional plugin.
Out of the box this plugin will not work on your sidebar. I had to add an additional plugin that provides that feature.
All in all this plugin is "almost perfetct"
