Improve your WordPress SEO: Write better content and have a fully optimized WordPress site using the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast.
My site was ranked for months on 6th page, somewhere i saw no progress and discovered Yoast.
I replaced All in one SEO into Yoast. A week after installation, my complete website is unsearchable on Google.
I'm sorry for this negative post but this is my experience.
finally I ran out of hope to work with this plugin. My post do not appear in google search results, no matter how much I tried everything, and did not find any solution.
I don't know what the F**K he is doing with the plugin. It is a mess up now a days. With every update there's more bug than bug fixes. Over a Dozen of my site still have that "This is a Yoast Test Title" as title on every page of the site because of a bug in the plugin which killed the ranks of all those sites. And now I can't even save any sh*t because there's no save button. I hate you Yoast!!!
Sorry about the language!!!
This plugin has sections that no not work as intended. After months of trying to find a solution with many individuals with the same problem I have elected to discontinue use. From forum posts to emailing the developer there has been no replies or solutions.
Support is terrible if you want to go further.
I spent about two weeks trying to get this plug-in to work. No matter what I did the sitemaps were barfed-up and rejected by google.
The interface IS confusing. The author tries to be comical or ironic with some of the selections - so when you read a description next to the check-box your're left wondering "sooo... should I check it or not?"
I've used plug-ins by non-English native speakers (Newsletter by Satollo is a great example) that are absolutely brilliant and clearly written and work straight out of the box.
I recommend the plug-in author take a look at all of the selected options, group them in a way that makes sense, and remove all of the jokes from the interface (they are not funny) and work on a solid plug-in that works for most people most of the time with pre-sets that won't ruin your SEO if you don't know what you're doing.
Good luck, and I hope to see newer, better, version. I still need SEO help - but it looks like this plugin is not for me.
Kudos to those who were able to make it work DESPITE the bugs and interface.
"33 of 522 support threads in the last two months have been resolved."
Nothing else to say...
Plugin is broken, it "helped" me disappear off the SERPs (after being on page 1)
It made me roll back to an older version, and its still buggy in many aspects.
Author seems to be ignoring forum threads or he's just overloaded with bugs at the moment.
This plugin is broken, just view the support threads for it...
At first I was very happy, but numerous problems with the plugin have changed that. I don't think it's google friendly at all.
