I now use this plugin on all my wordpress sites. It gets the job done perfectly. The only slight gripe I have is that it does tend to add promotional comments to your code. e.g.

But it is a free plugin so that's fair enough!

This is the most advanced SEO plugin for WordPress today. Definitely, I recommend it!

While I have no complaints about the SEO features of this plugin, I had problems with the sitemaps feature. It caused images to be indexed, which I did NOT want. I have that directory blocked in robots.txt, and I set the plugin to noindex media files. And yet, the sitemaps generated warnings in Webmaster Tools, somehow directing Google to look for images that had been deleted years ago. And then Google began indexing my current images, which again I did not want.

I asked for support over a week ago, carefully following the instructions to make my post just right, but never got a single response. I see a lot of other users getting similar warnings from Webmaster Tools, and in some cases it was easily solved but none of those solutions worked in my case. This has never happened with other sitemap plugins I used, so I've gone back to using those. There is something fundamentally wrong with the sitemaps functionality of Yoast's plugin, and it might be better to just remove that functionality if he is not going to support it.

This plugin has sections that no not work as intended. After months of trying to find a solution with many individuals with the same problem I have elected to discontinue use. From forum posts to emailing the developer there has been no replies or solutions.

After 3 years of working with CSV importers for WordPress. We had pretty much done the work to provide extra integration for the most popular SEO plugins.

We then re-developed our CSV 2 POST plugin and have decided to focus on WordPress SEO by Yoast as it seems to be taking over. Obviously we agree that this plugin is the best. Some other plugins do have their pros and with some work things may change but for now we'll make our SEO plugin this one.
