Import posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, tags and more from a WordPress export file.
This process also made the 301 redirects when you migrate the content from one blog to another?
This is absolutelly necessary!!!
Could someone help?

If you are someone who makes a lot of WordPress site with a similar design or similar content, this plugin does exactly what you need it to do, which is import your WordPress files.
Simply go to export and export your WordPress enhanced XML file. Once this complete, its easy to go to any new WordPress site with the files and even import them to a user of your choice (images included).
The only limitation is being able to split content by user which may be annoying when moving large sites, however for the typical user its not a bad thing at all. Easy to use and probably one of the best plugins out there. Plus you can remove it once your done at no impact to your system.
when you mark the option to import media also it
appears to be doinf something, lists media files etc and at the end it just stops, but nothing has been imported, no posts, pages nothing..
only the media library is available.
when you again try without media import it does import posts, however, all feature image settings are lost.
I have posts in two languages, and I could choose the language, but it is all mixed up and the connection links between translations are lost.
It is a mess.
This plugin it's a importer, not backup or replicate. It's good, easy and fast.
I have tried importing an entire site, and I have tried importing the pages, posts, and comments separately. Either way, I get nothing but Failed to import and Invalid post type error messages.
This plugin is a total bust, and there is no support for it, either! Importing content is crucial functionality. Allowing it to be totally broken and doing nothing to respond to bug reports from users is going to drive consultants away from using WordPress for client projects. It will drive us either towards more flexible hosted solutions, like Squarespace and Weebly, or towards other open source content management systems, like Joomla and Drupal.
WordPress really dropped the ball on this one. Is anybody listening?
I get a white screen, no part where I can upload my file.
Backing up is easy; the real problem, and the important part, is restoring. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to restore a backup, only to find that there was some difficulty that I couldn't get around.
Importer is simple but effective. It backed up my blog. It didn't save the media, but when I uploaded those separately my blog was able to find them. I admit that I may have missed some feature in importer that would let me back up the media with everything else.
This is the best product I've found so far for backing up and
irestoring my blogs
It worked after I spent nearly two days on how to use it from forums all over the Internet. Improve this so you can attract more users, WordPress. You're driving them away with poor assistance such as this plug-in.
Very useful plugin. The only issue is the following: if you have something in your code that replied on post id or taxonomy id, it will stop working since when imported new item ids are generated in the database that don't correspond to the original ones.
