Import posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, tags and more from a WordPress export file.
Stopped working when I upgraded my server to PHP 5.4
If you want to import over 100 posts with images, this plugin will almost never work. You'll either get blank white screens on import, or you'll get timeouts. It requires your PHP settings to be just so, otherwise you'll get script timeouts or upload size.
Go around the forums and see, everyone complains about the errors this plugin give importing the images on each post
I have tried and tried agian to use the export my blog form wordpress.com and use this plugin to import to my wordpress.org hosted site - since the first time I used it it just says that each file already exists but there is nothing there - it shows as having added the tags on stats page but when I click on them there is nothing there!
I am going around in circles in the forums and I am not getting anywhere other than days having passed and being on the verge of deleting it completely!
upload limit 2MB
when you mark the option to import media also it
appears to be doinf something, lists media files etc and at the end it just stops, but nothing has been imported, no posts, pages nothing..
only the media library is available.
when you again try without media import it does import posts, however, all feature image settings are lost.
I have posts in two languages, and I could choose the language, but it is all mixed up and the connection links between translations are lost.
It is a mess.
I have tried importing an entire site, and I have tried importing the pages, posts, and comments separately. Either way, I get nothing but Failed to import and Invalid post type error messages.
This plugin is a total bust, and there is no support for it, either! Importing content is crucial functionality. Allowing it to be totally broken and doing nothing to respond to bug reports from users is going to drive consultants away from using WordPress for client projects. It will drive us either towards more flexible hosted solutions, like Squarespace and Weebly, or towards other open source content management systems, like Joomla and Drupal.
WordPress really dropped the ball on this one. Is anybody listening?
I get a white screen, no part where I can upload my file.
I activate the plugin, and nothing.
I can’t find any place where I can run an IMPORT. Wow, just unbelievable.
