I've been using the WordPress Backup to Dropbox since it's early stages and it's great. Before this plugin I had to use multiple plugins (one for content, one for db, etc) and most of them would email out the files. That was very unreliable and hard to maintain.

This plugin solves that issue and moreover it's great to know that the files and data are being backed up in one central place that I can easily share with others involved in the project.

Very easy with this plugin

I´ve used this plugin on a few blogs, both in shared hosting environments and on my own VPS and the plugin works perfectly out of the box.

Just make sure you have enough memory and run a reasonably modern version of PHP.

The interface is really nice, you can select the folders or subfolders you want to exclude from backup.

The first backup might take a while, as all folders and files are transferred to Dropbox. Later sessions only new or changed files are uploaded.

WordPress backup to Dropbox is a great plugin that works smoothly and will prove a lifesaver if you ever need a backup of your files. At some point you will so use this plugin and rest easy knowing that your site is safely backed up should you ever need to restore it.

Well.. I installed this app and ran it, it made a backup of my wordpress including the DB. Anyway i thought it was rubbish so i removed it. Anyway, today i used my hosting solutions backup to backup my sql db, AND THEY LOST THE DAM DATABASE!

I checked my dropbox and luckily this app backed up my db to my dropbox. I lost about 8 days of work on my site because I removed this app but still, its saved me and my articles.

So Thank You!

When the site is back up and running i will never ever remote this app again!

very helpful and smart! btw if you have issue with cURL don't panic!
first if you have php 5 just install it

apt-get install php5-curl
/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

and then you're done, the restart is necessary.

Its good. But sometime not done a full restore.
