WooCommerce is a powerful, extendable eCommerce plugin that helps you sell anything. Beautifully.
I am a fan of custom solutions most of the time (its easier to build small custom solutions then to find a ready made solution online, at least what I think), and I used to code small ecommerce sites myself, carts, checkouts, payment gateways integrations, and after some experience I started thinking about building something which I could re-use with little or not changes on every new ecommerce site I build.
But during that time woocommerce was emerging, and off course I kept looking for ecommerce solutions for wordpress but found no reliable one :(, but when I stumbled upon woocommerce back in its early stages, first thing I did was dived into its code and learn how they did it, and then I used those coding techniques on my ecommerce site, but I was not ready to adapt it, but when they released 2.0, I couldn't hesitate to embrace it. And since then I still write custom ecommerce code but for woocommerce ;) (for every project special needs), and I must say I liked it because this is how I would have built an ecommerce solution (if I could :D), and it meets my coding style and flexible enought (though still need to go a long way) for most of my customizations needs.
So I am openly saying: I am loving it ;).
Thanks guys for such an awesome plugin.
Be careful to use Woocommerce, especially in some European countries like Italy or Germany.
WooCommerce does not provide the required fields regarding VAT and Tax Code.
But more seriously does not provide for the sale of products with special VAT rates. Or rather, you can set a fee for each different product, but absolutely inconsistent with other expenses, such as shipping, packing and so on. These charges are flat rate, NOT special.
Solutions? Hire a programmer and assure that the costs are very high. Not to mention that every update is necessary to review the changes.

For a developer, WooCommerce is brilliant. It's truly open and clearly designed for extensibility. The code is very well written and liberally commented and, best of all, there are hooks for everything. This means modifying behavior via my own plugin or theme functions rather than editing Woocommerce source, allowing the mods survive Woocommerce updates.
The paid-for extensions are great, but a tad pricey if you need a bunch! It would be great if Woothemes offered 'Club', 'Combo' or 'Bundle' options.
I will be brief. I only use WooCommerce for many reasons. When I say only I mean only. I turn down clients who do not take my suggestion to use WooCommerce as there online shopping cart solution. I also buy the extensions often (VERY WORTH THE PRICE EVEN THE EXTENDED LICENSE). I am a full theme club member (AGAIN VERY WORTH THE PRICE). Thank you to everyone from the WooThemes team. You all make me happy to be part of the website development world!!!
Excellent program, plenty of supporting plugins, excellent support forum on the WP page (only available on the WooCommerce main page if you purchase something).
Note: Shop emails are sent via the wp-mail system, so if you have a validated @domain.com email address then make sure you also install the wp-smtp plugin so your shop emails don't get bounced/labelled as spam. ;)
Best plugin for e-commerce sites.
From a development/implementation standpoint, nothing comes close to the ease of WooCommerce. All other eCommerce plugins are dead to me!
One of the best eCommerce platforms for WordPress I have ever seen. WooCommerce has more feature than many paid platforms, and it's open source.
Awesome interface but for me, the best value in the plugin is the architecture. Is full WordPress custom posts compatible making the plugin highly customisable and easy to learn and understand in general.
I WooCommerce update 2.0.11
After updating I get blank page
Via FTP I deleted woocommerce, WooCommerce then I reinstalled 2.0.10, now everything works perfectly.
WP Version: WP 3.5.1
Web Server Info: Apache/2
PHP Version: 5.3.21
WP Memory Limit: 96 MB
Plugins installed: WooCommerce, WooDojo, WooSidebar and nothing else.
Please solve, thanks
