Show or hide widgets on specific posts, pages or sections of your site.
This plugin is simpler than Widget Logic. Widget Logic is more powerful, so I still use it on some sites, but for most sites Widget Context does the job. It's also much easier for end-users to understand.
Very easy to understand
Does exactly what I wanted : select which text area appear in the below header widget area (suffusion theme) for each page of my website.
The most user friendly plugin in this category so far! :)
This plugin just won me a nice ad contract by customizing an ad channel. Did just what it says and so versatile and useful! A must.
Easy for me the developer and clients. Great Plugin.
This plugin works great and is simple to use, allowing you to specify visibility in various different types of rules.
Very easy to use. Worked perfectly right away. Thank you!
Light-weight plugin in comparison to ie Dynamic Widgets.
Should support negative wildcards, ie !my/path/* and it would be awesome.
Very easy to use.
The ability to show different widgets in different contexts is absolutely a critical feature for any sophisticated website. There are a number of plugins out there that claim to do this, and I think I tested every single one of them. Widget Context is absolutely the best of the bunch! Why?
This is the only plugin where I gave me FULL control of where stuff appears. For example, I might have a page that shows a list of selected posts in a category, and I give the user the option to see the full category archive. I want the same widget to display in both places. None of the other plugins I evaluated was able to do this.
Similarly, I have a group of "pages" some of which are WordPress pages, others a custom post type that acts like a page. I can display the same widget across all of them. Again, nothing else I found could do this.
The secret is this plugin's option to specify where stuff appears by URL, which allows wildcard characters. Brilliant!
Just a great plugin! Thank you for creating it.
