What The File adds an option to your toolbar showing what file and template parts are used to display the page you’re currently viewing.
Simple and useful.
Love this simple plugin, it's a must have for any developer. Saves me time from having to search around and guess which file is relevant to the page I'm currently working on. It even goes a step further and links me to the actual file in the WP editor!
Top plugin for devs, very simple and does a job :)

I am new to wordpress and this helps me learn how to use wordpress themes. thanks.
As a new user, "What The File" has been very helpful in site negotiation. Thanks for the tool!
That feature should be bundled into the default WP installation.
But it isn't.
Luckily this plugin has been written.
Only been using it a few weeks, and already it's saved me days in minutes. To clarify:
You buy a WP theme—a mediocre one or a gone one, let's say a good one—and you have to locate something simple, which is of course buried in includes/functions/variations/youllneverfindthis.php. You spend 30 minutes tracking it down, after which you have no energy to do the little thing you meant to do when you started, so you do something else for a while, and postpone the little thing till tomorrow.
What the File cuts out the search, and thereby cuts out the day. See? Days saved in under a minute.
Great plugin very useful for devs.
Works as advertised.
You've saved me time and trouble with this plug-in. Simple, yet powerful.
