I must have spent 4 days trying out other quiz plugins for our non-profit educational site until I found Watu through Namaste! LMS, which includes a function to link the two for quizzes.
Of the free quiz plugins I tried, Watu has the nicest final appearance on the site, and can be easily customized for content and pre/post test messages. These fields accept shortcodes and HTML too.
The interface on the back end is simple and easy to work through (unlike some others - Quiz Master Next comes to mind).
I believe the only thing it doesn't have is a quiz timer, but - for the purposes of our website - that was less important than having a simple, stable quiz linked with the functionality of Namaste (which allows us to export a certificate).
This is truly a great plugin. I've been using it to create some practice music theory tests on several sites (including my blog), and it works perfectly. Highly recommended.
This plugin is very full featured and was pretty easy to set up and get running in very little time. I like the upload question/answer feature. I had some trouble with one little feature and technical support was OUTSTANDING. The developer of this plugin is very responsive. The problem actually turned out to be a tiny tiny bug and the developer fixed it and sent me the update lickety-split. I really had a terrific experience overall with this plugin.
I'm totally impressed by the quality of the plugin. I've never seen such user-friendly support. I could never imagine faster response. Best example how clients should be treated. The list could go long way down, but i bet that you'll get bored. At the end i'd like to mention, that the author spent couple of hours answering my questions, improving the plugin, helping me with the website.
This is the best quiz plugin that I ever tested. You could easily modify some other things through the style.css of the plugin.
I am publishing two simple photography quizzes and found this plugin was exactly what I needed. The shortcode worked first time and it is easy to add questions and 'test' myself until all is satisfactory.
Then I can set back to zero so when I publish I can track how many people take the test. Lots easier than tracking with Google Analytics.
Thanks for taking the time to design a great plugin!
Very quick to get the hang of, allows you to put simply tally quizes into your website with hardly any headache. Great stuff.
I am new to WordPress, but was able to easily add Watu in and begin to use it right away. I added a 15 question quiz to my blog and it really spiced things up. The questions and grading system was a snap to set up, and I was able to modify the CSS to suit my purposes quite readily.
I had a little glitch (which turned out to be a browser cache situation) and I wrote into the support forum for help - which I received REALLY fast and the advice I got from the developer was spot on.
I only evaluated one other quiz plugin before going with this (SlickQuiz) and Watu was way better for what I was looking for, because I could put all my questions on one page.
If I needed a more robust quiz program I would go with the Pro, because of the excellent 'customer service' I received, even for the free version I was using.
A great plugin, however the if you disable 'show all questions on one page' then the quiz doesn't function on mobile devices; well at least on Android 4.2.2.
