W4 Post List lets you create a list of posts, terms, users or a combined one. Decorate output using shortcodes. It's just easy and fun.
Out of the box, this plugin soars!
We are specifically using it to add custom post listings to our mobile theme. EXACTLY what we needed.
One of the best plugin I have used in my development.
BTW, developer, I tried to display date in a particular format, but i could not do it. Is there any possibility of displaying date
Amazing, simple, practical and still developing!
Finally a 'complete' plugin that does custom post types. Would be even better if it had an option to preserve content markup tags.
Great way to create dynamic tables for your posts
I have also used plugins
FooTables - for the responsive html table sorting/searching
Advanced Custom Fields - for the bug_version etc. codes
I am using Post+Terms mode so it displays the sub categories
Active Bugs <table class="footable" style="maxwidth:80%"> <thead> <th>Category</th> <th>Bug Name</th> <th>Description</th> <th>Product Ver.</th> <th>Status</th> <th>Priority</th> </thead> [terms] [posts] <tr> <td bgcolor="#CDCDCD">[term_name]</td> <td>[title]</td> <td width=50%>[excerpt wordlimit=20] </td> <td>[post_meta key="bug_version" multiple="0"]</td> <td>[post_meta key="bug_status" multiple="0"]</td> <td>[post_meta key="bug_priority" multiple="0"]</td> </tr> [/posts] [/terms] </table>
Yes, this plugin works very fine, and well designed for WP admins, so really intuitive. But the best point, according to me, is the ease of customization. Thank you Shazzad !
Many options and settings can be used to easily create a specific list. The support is very fast and very helpful with useful details. Thanks!
I'll freely admit I am a novice -- but this plugin's ability to let me create filtered lists and manipulate the output is exactly what I needed to wrangle a large amount of diverse information and make it user-friendly.
Rather than static pages and posts with lots of redundant information, I have been able to use tags and categories to allow me to create a single post with the data I need, and easily have it appear where needed -- in various locations -- and manage to have the same data take on different presentations based on the context ... i.e. on one page I might just have the title, others the first number of words, others the date posted etc.
Lots of nice controls, and I feel like I haven't even scraped the surface yet!
Glad to see you're back at it, and to see some competition.
I'm the developer of Advanced Post List. I used to use your plugin some years ago, and I personally liked it, but eventually I took on development of another plugin that was being abandoned and I saw more potential with it.
Over the years, it looks like we've both made some good progress, and both plugins have many of the same traits/features. If you would like to check mine out as well, then you are more than welcome to. If you'd like to get in touch, then you know where to find me.
I had a few issues with the plugin that were present in a previous version. While working with the author he provided excellent support, and followed up multiple times to let me know updates were made to the plugin that should fix my issues. Upon updating the the most current version all my issues were resolved.
Shazzad provided support above and beyond what is expected on a free plugin. Highly recommended developer. Thanks!
