Rewrite rules for nginx provided by W3 TC don't work.
Simply put, destroyed my blog. Everything went to hell and I can't access it anymore, every file is restored to default but it just gives me a 500 error. [ profanity removed ] up something in the database, and I will have to start everything again.

Everything was working thing until I diciced to upgrade to the newest version(0.9.2.80). Now my site is slow and getting down everytime.
I don't recommend this plugin.
I used this plugin before and it was awesome. Worked like a dream. but than few days ago I grab a new version and it crash my site - resulting in lot of traffic lost and related issues. Not recommended.
I don't know what happen. Why Frederic published this version without properly testing. Many say because he have now personal services to charge you for help, so he trying to make money this way. I refuse to believe so, as he sounds like a nice guy. But I don't know. This version is obviously broken and still he doesn't change it or making any note on description page for new users not to use it. Why would he not stop other from downloading or upgrading something that doesn't work? Why, if he has only good intentions. And why would he put this huge note in my plugin page to upgrade to 0.9.2.8 - when everyone say it's broken. This note is so huge, like no an y other plugin and I have to say, it's looks like spam, because occupy your plugin page and tell you to upgrade and than crash your website. I think Frederic should at least remove this huge note, roll plugin back to previous version and warn anyone else who want to download on all issue. Otherwise he is not helping anyone.
I have used this plugin for years and found it very useful. However when I installed the latest update on Feb 9, it locked me out of my admin panel and I had to completely delete it via my hosting file manager. Scary experience! At this point I have to rate it as poor although in the past I would have rated it as very good. I appreciate all the work that the developer puts into this, and I hope that it can and will be fixed so that I dare use it again.
I'm very glad I installed this plugin.
Because IT TAUGHT ME TO ALWAYS DO A FULL WP BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING (Adding) A PLUGIN.
Last night I installed W3TC (W3 Total Cache) aka W3 Total FIASCO Cache.
Today, I had to UNINSTALL it because now my site is SLOWER THAN MOLASSES in the dead of winter. It has screwed up everything. After reading up on it and googling more about it (which I should have done better to begin with), specifically "How to uninstall W3 Total Cache", I would have seen and read about other nightmares about this plugin, not to mention the hoops you have to jump through to get it out of WP and your life...
I won't repeat what has already been said and done about this poor of an excuse of a plugin, albeit that some swear by it, but others would name it W666 Total Cache instead.
In truth, it probably works great and is one of the best out there BUT... Number One, to make it so, IS THAT you either need to be a Rocket Scientist or shell out HUNDREDS of DOLLARS and the author would be HAPPY to CONFIGURE and FIX it for you.
What a Beautiful Marketing Plan he has. Bait and Switch! Bait with Free, then after it screws up your WP site, you can Switch to the PAY TO GET IT FIXED PLAN! (By the Plugin Author, of course.)
But hey, you don't have to do that, you know. You are always entitled to re-install WP and apply your Db Backups. You do have Backups, don't you? Ouch! I'm sorry. Really.
I have been using W3TC for several years. It seems to do a lot of things to make the site faster and in some cases, it does the job well.
But now, for the third, or fourth, or fifth time a simple upgrade completely hosed me -- I couldn't log in to admin, and needed to manually deactivate the plugin.
My impression is that this is a case of trying to hard to be everything to everyone. Now I'll run PageSpeed and YSlow again, see what is slow and fix specific problems with simpler solutions that work.
Sigh. I know the author has done a lot of work and tries hard to make this a really killer plugin. But in the end, I have had nothing but trouble for a modest performance improvement I can get through other simpler methods.
this is errors i install this plugin
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
I updated to the latest version and later that night realized I couldn't login to the admin area. It took an hour for me to remember I'd updated the plugin that morning and I had to delete it from the server to gain access to the site again.
Now, whenever I try to re-install it or even roll back to an older version, my site times out and goes offline when I try to save the settings. In a nutshell, I can no longer use this plugin.
