Easy Web Performance Optimization (WPO) using caching: browser, page, object, database, minify and content delivery network support.
So many settings, no idea what most of them mean. Impossible to find the ones I do know about. Broke my site upon enabling. Initial site request went up from 2-3 seconds to 15.
Second time I've tried it. Won't try again.
The plugin is clearly one of the best, but the service is very poor. We paid W3 Edge $450 (it gets considerably more expensive than the plugin's dashboard suggests) to give our server the full performance tune-up. They promised a 1-week turnaround, but it's been 22 days now, and they haven't done very much at all. When our server went down while they were working on it, they simply disappeared. After I sent them about one email per day for a week, asking for a status update, they finally told me the server had stopped working. I got the server back up in a few hours, and now it's a waiting game again.
As I said, very poor service.
We are not happy.
On my website I use this plugin but when I try to configure the plugin with my account information CloudFlare I have this error:
Unable to communicate with CloudFlare API: Setting: async Unknown token or email.
My JetPack subscriptions quit working. Site also seemed slower. I disabled this plugin before any of the others. And no surprise -- subscriptions immediately worked. I use this on three sites but I'm immediately going to find another one. It works as far as caching. But not when it messes up "required" plugins.
When a plugin causes more problems than it solves -- it has to go.
Free?!? How can this possibly be free?
W3 Total Cache provides every possible tool for optimizing WordPress site performance. If there's a way to get your site's pages delivered more quickly, it is probably in W3TC.
Yes, there are an incredible number of options, but complete site optimization is not for the faint of heart. The options are logically arranged and well presented. Just going with the defaults will almost certainly make your site faster.
The CDN option all by itself is a work of art. With just a few clicks, you can automatically have your large content items (images, etc.) delivered via your favorite CDN.
Finally, the support of the developers is superb. They are professional and responsive.
Strongly recommended! :-)
I have a multi media website with many youtube, soundcloud embeds. I used WP fast Cache and and WP fastest cache and i couldn't tell a difference. My site was said to load 88% slower than all sites tested. As soon as i tested with W3 my site was 57% faster than all sites tested. this is a great plugin!
I don't know what the problem is. Maybe W3TC 0.9.3 is not compatible with WP 3.8.1. All I know is that this plugin is a friggin nightmare. First, there are so many settings to configure that it will make your brain bleed. Then all it did was slow my site and WP Admin down. This plugin only managed to create a lot of bloat.
Now for the best part...trying to remove the plugin from the WP Admin. After you delete it and then try to make other changes to your website you will get this error message: W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/*****/public_html/****/wp-content/advanced-cache.php. Removing this file doesn't correct the problem either. I have wasted the better part of the last few days trying to get this mess straightened out. So if you are smart, steer clear of this pathetic piece of coding.
this plugin does it all!
It's become fashionable to rave about this plugin.
Fact is, the plugin is a confusing maze of setting and options that only a nerd would know how to use.
This is not user friendly.
