Since installing and configuring this plugin nearly 2 years ago - I have not had to think about it ONCE! Updates have always gone smoothly, it plays nicely with others, easy to implement. Thanks so much!

Indispensable tool for every admin's toolbox
By , for WP 3.8

This is one of those plugins that you should have etched in your memory, ready to deploy whenever you need tweaking user roles / capabilities or, more importantly: RESET them all to their WP core defaults (i.e. deleting all but the standard fresh, vanilla install state) when you need to undo bbPress, BuddyPress, s2Member, Woocommerce, Simple:Press or somesuch plugin that creates custom roles and/or changes capabilities. It's simple, straightforward, logically presented... Awesome.

Спасибо, mr. Garagulya!

multiple roles - heavenly for BuddyPress communities
By , for WP 3.7.1

We've been using Justin Tadlock's Members plugin in conjunction with this plugin (User Role Editor). There is plenty of overlap between the two and sites may need only one of them.

Where I found this plugin particularly handy was:

  • configuring users to have multiple roles
  • copy existing roles to create new ones

These features are brilliant, especially when building a BuddyPress community with many users, custom roles and custom capabilities.
