I used other TinyMCE enhancer plugins for a long time before I discovered Ultimate TinyMCE. It's so good I've forgotten the names of the alternatives.

This plugin is regularly improved, well supported and it makes WordPress post writing a bigger pleasure that it usually is.

The editor is really good. And the support is efficient and really very fast.

I'm new to wordpress and i couldn't edit and i couldn't figure out what i was doing wrong. I wrote to Josh, he answered me within a few hours, and then released an update that solved all my problems!! Pretty impressive, no?

Was using the old TINYMCE upgraded to this and WOW ! No problems what soever. and such a great author!

I like lots of things about this plugin, not the least of which is the dedication and support offered by the conscientious author/s. Unfortunately, I had to abandon it. In Josh's defense, the problem seems to be with the WP editor. As long as I've got the Visual Editor activated (under admin/Users/Your Profile/Visual editor checkbox) all or at least some of the quirks that exist with regular TinyMce usage persist when utilizing Ultimate TinyMce. Eg. if I try to add spaces (either using the spacebar or adding  ) to my text and switch back to html mode, those spaces are stripped out. In my case, it's a necessary part of how I set up my page design. I have to avoid the visual editor completely.

Josh, if you have a response to this I'd love to hear it. You do great work.

When you think about buying a plug-in, you're always wondering if you'll get your money's worth. The same can be said for the plug-ins which are free, but we tend to expect slightly less out of them.
Regardless if you paid or if you're using the free version of this plug-in, you'll find that the plug-in itself if fantastic. It's easy to use, offers a lot of features, and makes editing easier and faster.

But, in addition to offering a great free, or paid product, the guys that built this plug-in are 100% committed to delivering a fantastic support experience. If you check their forum, you'll find that they apply sound logic, helpful tips, a cooperative attitude, and a non-judgemental way of resolving problems.

It's refreshing, and they deserve your support and your money.
