Perfect. Get it.

Worked perfect. Extremely easy. Intuitive (though I would like to see it auto-locate and populate itself with the taxonomies / fields for CPT's).

Versatile!
By , for WP 3.8.1

Very flexible, and also stable.

It's great that it is aware of custom post types. It even supports custom fields. The CSS seems to be segregated enough you can style it how you like (I did!). Not completely obvious, but you can also get it to randomly select posts by post type by not adding a category filter and leaving the order set to random.

+1 from me on the request made in August to allow filtering by taxonomy (and custom taxonomies). That would definitely be the icing on the cake!

Versatile but terrible design options
By , for WP 3.8

The plugin has great options and lets you choose and arrange the posts you want to show in an intuitive and easy manner.

But the widget itself looks terrible. The lettering is too big and the display arrangement design has lots of space for improvement.
