Allows you to merge terms, set term parents in bulk, and swap term taxonomies.
This plugin provides a simple way to manage categories by adding bulk actions to the Category Page. This way you can change the parents of several categories at once. It's a big time saver. Thank you!
Used this for a client who wanted to create multiple parent level categories and group them logically -- this plugin saved me so much time and headache. Thanks a bunch @Scribu!
would love to see a redirection when you merge tags
A life saver!
I was dying trying to figure out how I was going to bulk move 500 categories. This killed it! Thanks!
Needed this to bulk edit the hierarchy of 100+ categories and this plugin made it a snap. THANK YOU!
Recently created a new WP site for a client to replace their old and not well organized WP site. There were something like 35 categories with some repeats (like Art and Art-1) and they all had posts in them! This plugin consolidated the categories with no sweat and saved us countless hours of moving the posts by hand (hundreds of posts).
Awesome plugin! Recommend it for sure
So imagine this scenario: you have a taxonomy for each of the 50 states, but then realize each of these need to be under a single parent taxonomy of "United States."
Dreading the task of individually setting a parent taxonomy 50 times, I found this plugin and gave it a shot. Worked perfectly, blended in seamlessly with the WordPress admin, and saved me a lot of time.
Can't ask for much more than that.
I searched for about 45 minutes, trying to find various "drag and drop category ordering" plugins -- and though I found a lot, all they did was reorganize the ORDER not the HIERARCHY.
THIS plugin, however, does just that and a lot more. Extremely handy and useful for cleaning up a 8 year old blog with over 100 categories.
This is an awesome plugin. It saves me a lot of time. Thank-you.
I wonder if the author is aware of two other fantastic tools being developed. Called BulkPress http://wordpress.org/plugins/bulkpress/ and Custom Field Taxonomies http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-field-taxonomies/.
I found these other two tools to also be necessary for some of the tasks I do. I wonder if some concerted collaboration among the three authors might bring forth a term management tool with a lot of consensus behind it and strong user base - and ultimately a lighter codebase than working with all three plugins, for the same kinds of features offered by the code sets.
