No longer being maintained
By , for WP 3.7.1

This plugin does not work, looks like the developers have abandoned it and now Modern Tribe has taken their idea and decided to charge extra for it.

Suddenly quit working

It doesn't work anymore. Looks like the author no longer maintains the free version. I'm going to go looking for something else.

Got it going!
By ,

A lot of trouble getting this going.. Still not entirely sure what the problem was. In the end i assumed it had to be the UID i was using so went back to the groups page 'graph' and pulled out every digit string on there (three of them all the same length). And added them all to the sync settings (note adding the page name broke it!).

I also disabled all migration options on the advance settings in the app itself (guidance on another plugin suggested this).

Free version that is ignored by author
By , for WP 3.6

Doesn't work unless you edit the code, even then the best solution that I've found is duplicate events every time the script runs. Do you want to synchronize every hour? If yes, expect 24 duplicates for every event that you create in facebook...every day.

I've looked over the reviews and all the fixes for this plugin. It's broke. The authors don't care, they want you pay for the premium version.

nice but needs to be updated
By , for WP 3.5.1

This is a nice plugin but some parts of it needs to be updated or fixed.

For those who having problem of "it says Events Calendar updated with current Facebook events but nothing happens" this is my fix.

it tries to convert unix timestamp to unixtimestamp in line 135 of sync-facebook-events.php

just change the line from (removing strtotime function)
$offsetStart = strtotime($event['start_time'])+$offset;

to

$offsetStart =($event['start_time'])+$offset;

Doesn't Work - but I've fixed it
By , for WP 3.5.1

The plug in does not work. There's lots of problems in it. That's a fact.

However, the good news is that I've fixed it! A few tweaks to the code and it works as it should.

Just replace the contents of your sync-facebook-events.php with the following code and all is hunky dory (you can find the file in wp-content/plugins/sync-facebook-events/):

Lots of Promise

A well intentioned plugin that is not currently maintained. "Plug-in Site" is a few lines of code and a google #.

Doesn't work.

Easy as lemon pie - this plugin does not work. I've checked my App ID, secret and page UID with other similar (but in theory inferior) plugins, which seemed to do the trick. this puppy, however, does not do the trick. Seems like I'll have to go over to Modern Tribe and spend a few bucks...

Fatal error on 1st activate.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /var/www/html/tkrumsk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sync-facebook-events/sync-facebook-events.php on line 293
