Protect your dashboard without editing the .htaccess file -- the FIRST one that completely blocks remote bot login requests.
This plugin is phenominal. Works brilliantly and since installing I haven't had a single hiccup on my site, no hack attempts, not even spam comments!! =D I'm surprised it's free! Love It!!
Was looking for a way to hide the login page as I'm getting a lot of 'admin' logins. Just installed so can't say how it will do long-term in blocking the bots and other ***holes, but the plugin does work as stated with testing the site through other browsers - hopefully I get a lot less logins.
Very simple to use, simply fill in a few fields and you don't have to touch the plugin again - you only need to remember the new custom login url. Only con, though not really one, is that the documentation is in a separate tab and not together with the settings, but that's really a non-issue.
I installed the plugin, added redirect website got the login url but when i try to log in with the new login url i'm taken to my redirect website. I can't access my backend. help please. Thanks....site is behindthegospel.com
I just installed your plugin and asked my husband instantly, (he is out of town), to test it and try to login in to my wp-admin. He cracked up as I redirected him to http://www.sanger.dk/ :)
I also installed the Limit Login Attempts as you suggested, and they are working perfectly together.
Thank you so much for all the work you put in.
This plugin is just what I needed. Did a simple redirect and hide my secret login page. It does not cause any slow of the site. Well, at least that is what I'm noticing the first time I install the plugin. Will do observe how it goes, but this seems to be a great install.
I am happy, working very well!
I had over 1,000 attempts at logging into my blog's admin panel. This plugin saved the day. Thanks so much. I have my admin URL being redirected to hamsterdance.com. Funny! ;)
Thanks for this, easy way to customize .htaccess to rename wp-login.php. bot POST attempts been bringing down my ec2 instances the past couple of weeks, this is great. Thank you again.
One of my sites was getting slammed with multiple unauthorized login attempts every minute for hours, even with Bulletproof, Wordfence, and Cloudflare installed and Cloudflare set to "under attack" mode.
I was afraid to try this plugin, because I'd used another one that hides the login page and it glitched and locked me out. I had to do something though, so I installed 'Stealth Login Page,' and have had very few brute force attempts since then. It's super easy to configure and works PERFECTLY.
Thank you for an excellent plugin!!
P.S. I set the redirect URL to a government Internet fraud reporting site. Good times.
Solves my problems
