Very basic, usefull and fast.

I liked very much. There are some small incomplete things, for example Character Encoding in tables and translation sentences; but it is one of the best calendar plugin for WordPress. You can change its style what do you want.
May be dear friends will improve it next versions. Thanks.

Perfect for my requirements

Just the right level of complexity for an events calendar. The other calendar plugins seemed overly complex or too basic for my particular needs, but this one is just right. The recurring events option is particularly useful.

Best Calendar for Images
By ,

I tried several different calendar plugins on my site but none looked as good as Spiffy Calendar. With a few tweaks to the code this app works perfectly and looks great on all devices. Only thing I wish it had is the ability to list the past X number of events instead of just upcoming events because this would be great for my sidebar. Hopefully this will be a later enhancement.

Needs am/pm feature
By ,

This is THE calendar I've been looking for.

There is one caveat. When entering time for events after noontime, you MUST either use 24-hour time -or- you must put pm to get the correct time for events after 12:59 (any time from 12:00 to 12:59 defaults to pm). Otherwise, an entry of "5:30" defaults to am - and my choir people would not like choir rehearsal at 5:30 am. If you happen to have an event that ends between midnight and 1:00 am, you need to enter "am" after that time to indicate and early morning end-time.

A 24-hour yes/no setting would be nice, and when "no" is selected, a mandatory am/pm selection box would be nice in the begin- and end-time data fields. I'm not going to be the one always entering calendar events - these checks would make sure event times are entered correctly. My instructions for event entry will be to always put "am" or "pm" after the time as appropriate.

Otherwise - clean, simple, easy to use. The Upcoming Events displays more info when mouse hovers over event (the width of this sticky-note looking box can be changed in the code under Calendar options). Also has a Today's Events feature which is perfect for keeping the front page updated.

Added Dec 3, 2013 - Support is super! I have been able to resolve all my issues, even though I have had no experience with .php and CSS files.

Spiffy Plugin is awesome
By , for WP 3.5.1

Spiffy calendar plugin is simple to use and the add event interface is direct and contains everything you need to display an event (event name, description, date/time, and a direct link). I like the fact you don't need to go through an "add post" process. The direct link can link to a page that already exists in your site for event that occurs frequently. Simple and to the point!!!
