I first tried using the "v" after https for youtube and it did not function. I changed the link from https:// to httpv:// and it worked like a charm. Big thanks!
Note that I have not tested with other sites, so I can't give a full report, but youtube is what I primarily use!

Very useful
I tried many different solutions to embed videos inside posts and this plugin it's the best one I found.
Good, but not responsive
I would recommend the responsive video embeds plugin.
