The perfect all-in-one responsive slider solution for WordPress.
Its a slick interface but very difficult to use. Slides end up being blank or sized incorrectly. There is a myriad of controls, many of which are disabled in the free version (crippleware). I suspect that if you want ease of use you'll need to pay up. Can't find a way to remove a slide without removing all and starting over. Very frustrating.
Just spent most of a Saturday afternoon putting two sliders together using this plugin. I bought the full version, as the website looks great, but what a waste of time.
Every single move has to be saved. Saving an action drops you into a page that cannot help at that part of the process. Whoever coded this is clueless and clearly does not blog for a living.
The so-called intuitive interface is as intuitive as flying a bicycle without ET on the handlebars. If you don't have hyperintelligent alien intelligence on your side then don't bother. I can only assume the top reviews were written by the developers or those with a masochistic streak.
The documentation makes no sense: names for various components change from point to point. Automatic layers sit on top of your content so you can't see it (nothing in docs about this ridiculous piece of process). The save process takes between ten or fifteen seconds a time and you have to do it every time you want to move. Sounds like nothing but it is a huge waste of time when you have to go through 12-15 steps to build each slide.
As for getting images into this thing: it is nothing like a quick upload. Flickr API will not work and who wants to drag Facebook images into a slider when FB compresses them into Reeces Pieces and kills them stone dead? It will not show thumbnails for your WP gallery - just a 10-item per page page list that you cannot flick through easily.
I use Cyclone Slider on another site and should have stuck with that: a million times quicker and that really is intuitive. This plugin is junk and has gone in the bin, along with $50 of my hard-earned.
Learn by my mistakes!
sorry, a slider which does not slide automatically (in the free version) is good for nothing..... you should have stripped out other features but not the auto sliding option...
