Simple URLs is a complete URL management system that allows you create, manage, and track outbound links from your site.
Quite possibly the most useful plug in for my site! I put all of my affiliate links through it - which saves me a TON of time and headache if a product I recommend disappears or I decide to recommend a different brand. Please keep updating... THANK YOU!
It is the best plugin of its kind that I have found.
Thank you very much!
I have been using Yoast's code for re-writing URL's with a /recommends/ folder in my root. Now that I'm moving to GoDaddy's managed WordPress hosting, I can't have extra php scripts and their variables running around unattended. :)
Great plugin, thanks author very much :)
Thanks for this one!
I hope you will continue to evolve this one cause it's a simple jet effective php script!
I was looking for a simple and fast solution and I higly recomeand this to all affiliate clock seekers out there - this will work on any shared hosting...
to change default go slug edit the 51 line
'rewrite' => array( 'slug' => 'pe', 'with_front' => false )
This is really a great plugin and very useful. Can be used for affiliate links, etc. The plugin developers are also very quick to reply to any questions.
I installed this for a client and love that they can view outbound clicks so easily without digging through Analytics. It's a great tool for managing affiliate links.
Works as described. A great way to cloak affiliate links. Just be sure you setup some sort of outbound link tracking in your google analytics account too.
I love everything StudioPress does, except this plugin. Maybe it's me, but I can't get this plugin to work. I've been using Pretty Link Lite with no problem. I'm not sure whats-up. It seems most people love this plugin and are very happy with it. Good Luck... BTW, I use several plugins authored by these guys and I love them, they work perfectly.
Previously: This plugin has a definite use and purpose, which it does well. However, it has a very annoying compatibility issue, with the WordPress SEO Plugin, which both developers refuses to address.
I don't know for sure, who fixed what, but this plugin works great and has been working consistently since the last update.
