With Simple Fields you can add any kind of custom fields to your pages, posts and attachments.
I have been using it almost 1 year on several websites, it's easy to use, especially for end clients who needs to edit content.
Repeatable fields are one of the best feature that this plugin have. Still I cannot believe how good this feature is. One of my top 5 plugins that I'm using on every website.
It's up to date, work great with other popular plugins, 5 of 5.
Keep the amazing work :)
We use this plugin for every single site we develop.
It's great for instances in which clients would like to edit their content on different areas of their website.
Once you get the hang of everything the plugin becomes very powerful
Simple fields allow me to deal with fields without spending much time coding for custom fields. This allow me to focus on another part of the creation of custom admin pages for my client's content.
Simplefields works pretty well with WPML too.
This product deserve a great future!
Seems as very powerfull, but documentation is awfull. On homeapge of the plugin i found several different ways to call values in template, non of them worked for the most. (Repeatable fields) One that worked (80-90%) i found at Google, not even mentioned on documentation site.
Support at WordPress plugin site give you sometimes answers from author, again those solution not mentioned at plugin homepage.
Plugin homepage is not code friendly, just mess to read code. If you copy code for sure you get wrong "".
Really very nice and very good :)
Easy fields manage and use data in templates.
One of the best and most useful plugins for WP. Love it!
Best thing since sliced bread.
I have been able to customize my WordPress site with this plugin exactly as I have liked. The only reason I didn't give the full five stars is that I've found putting text into a text area often appears duplicated in the default WordPress text area so I do not use that option.
This plugin is very powerful and the repeatable field groups are an amazing feature. The functions offer lots of flexibility for extracting information.
I did run into some snags extracting file info, especially for repeating file field types. The arrays did not return some basic file info such as file name. I had to use some of the WordPress built-in functions like
basename(get_attached_file(754)) to look up an attribute by post id. I also ran into some difficulty creating extended_return_values arrays for repeating file field types.
I also ran into an issue where null values were returned in key-value pairs called by the plugin's built-in functions. This seemed to occur whenever a field or a field's value were deleted. I had to create a custom script to handle these.
On a positive note, this plugin is a simpler and more affordable alternative to the
Advanced Custom Fields plugin, which charges for some of the advanced features that
Simple Fields offers for free (like repeatable field groups).
