Simple E-Commerce Shopping Cart Plugin to sell digital/physical products from your wordpress site through PayPal.
Very poor support. I have had continual problems with this plug-in and the programmer. I even paid to have some custom upgrades to help work around the really annoying issues but was eventually told he wasn't able to do it. I am STILL waiting for my refund. After numerous prompts via email I get an extremely rude, childish response. Not a good way to run a business. I would never use anything from him again. Save the hassle and your money, there are plenty of fine plug-ins where you won't have to deal with this kind of nonsense.
The shipping values change from what they were ste at, and then they don't show up in the cart anyway! Deleted!
Bottom line: If you can get away with free version good but don't pay for the upgrade.
This plugin has very limited function, no doubt, to get people to the Professional version. The Pro version seems to have a bunch of little issues: short codes don't work, pricing does not show up in store, little HTML errors in places.
On one hand, I have to give Niaz a lot of credit for tying to be responsive (a little tough when you are on the other side of the planet). He has been very helpful getting it installed but, the install should not be so difficult.
On the other hand, I gotta say I am very disappointed. I needed a License Key Code to show up in the email to the customer. Did not look like this plugin could do it so I requested a refund. The response I got from Niaz was that it would be a unique requirement, he could do it for more money and I would not find another plugin that does it. Well, I found another plugin to do it, Niaz has the function already in his code, and I have not heard back from Niaz is a few days.
Also, product view needs to be separate from adding a product (too much scrolling). He uses expanding sections a bit much, some should be consolidated. The organization of the app overall is a bit weak: Product Categories should probably be with Add Products instead of Settings, same with eMial and Text notification. Makes more sense to have email and text variable by product.
I had the free version and it gave me problems after I did an update. If the pages are deleted by accident or if you have to delete and re-install due to technical issues, the process is extremely tedious. I had to call my hosting company twice to reset my site or add permissions on the back end.
And the person who owns or made the plug in, Niaz - is a spiteful person, who will make you purchase the plug in in order to get support, then dismantle your website claiming he's doing troubleshooting, then ignore you when he's annoyed with you, and last but not least, throw all of you shopping cart pages in the trash and disappear.
I'm using the FREE version, and the PayPal integration has yet to function properly. I click checkout and the page refreshes but never redirects to PayPal?!?!? I sent an email to the author on 8/27, and I received a pretty quick reply, but no resolution. He offered to assist, and I never heard back. I'm hesitate to upgrade because my issue with the free version is yet to be resolved.
P.S. I am, however, happy for the people who are able to successfully use this plug-in. :)
P.P.S. My site is running on the Genesis framework. I'm not sure if that will mean anything to the author.
Avoid this free plugin and the premium version, WPShopCart, at all costs. The plugin is broken on the backend and will not function. If you contact the programmer, he will tell you that it can do all these great things, but none of them are true. And all he will offer in the way of help is one sentence answers sent from his iphone. I don't know how I'm going to fix my store or get my money back, but don't make the same mistake I did.
This plugin have very less features.It can not be use for a perfect e-commerce site..
I have tried this plugin on two completely separate and unrelated websites. Both times, I get the same problem, where the confirmation email is not being sent out. And looking at the support requests, it seems that I'm not the only one who's had this same problem.
Reading the comments from other reviews and support requests, the author seems very defensive and doesn't really offer any real advice to rectify issues.
I would give this plugin zero stars if I could. It's not worth it, in my opinion. And I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you DO NOT BOTHER EVEN TRYING THIS PLUGIN.
I used the simple version originally and it worked but could not put on an intake form, which I needed so I upgraded to the Paid version. That is when all the trouble started. Even though I totally removed the simple version, the paid version NEVER worked. I sent several emails to the "support" and all he told me (after putting me off) was to uninstall and reinstall and trash everything in between which I did several times. In addition, it turned out that the paid version did not have a form as I was told. I would stay away from this one. I would give it a half start if I could.
Niaz explains the reason for my problem in his reply. I am removing my complaint.
As this plugin obviously works for others, I will assume that my negative experience was unique.
The one star rating is simply because the program did not work for me.
A SUGGESTION: Niaz, it seems that it would be in everyone's best interests if you removed all contact email addresses other than the ones you personally receive.
