Simple E-Commerce Shopping Cart Plugin to sell digital/physical products from your wordpress site through PayPal.
Bottom line: If you can get away with free version good but don't pay for the upgrade.
This plugin has very limited function, no doubt, to get people to the Professional version. The Pro version seems to have a bunch of little issues: short codes don't work, pricing does not show up in store, little HTML errors in places.
On one hand, I have to give Niaz a lot of credit for tying to be responsive (a little tough when you are on the other side of the planet). He has been very helpful getting it installed but, the install should not be so difficult.
On the other hand, I gotta say I am very disappointed. I needed a License Key Code to show up in the email to the customer. Did not look like this plugin could do it so I requested a refund. The response I got from Niaz was that it would be a unique requirement, he could do it for more money and I would not find another plugin that does it. Well, I found another plugin to do it, Niaz has the function already in his code, and I have not heard back from Niaz is a few days.
Also, product view needs to be separate from adding a product (too much scrolling). He uses expanding sections a bit much, some should be consolidated. The organization of the app overall is a bit weak: Product Categories should probably be with Add Products instead of Settings, same with eMial and Text notification. Makes more sense to have email and text variable by product.
I upgraded to the premium plugin as a high level of customisation was needed for my client. This is a unique product ideal for printing companies or companies that personalise products. Some small problems with the £ sign which the developer fixed, then for a small charge the timely effort of styling the plugin for my clients site, was done by the developer at my request. Save for one tweak remaining this is a site good to go and simple enough for my client to use. Many thanks Niaz
So many features! Works well. Looks great! Shopping cart widget is an awesome function. I did come into a problems with organizing my items. The programer (Niaz) was very helpful and fixed my problem. He is very timely responding to e-mails. Would definitely recommend this plugin. Don't waste your time on other paypal plugins like I did. This one is the one you need.
The plugin works good, its a simple to use plugin and i like simple. I needed some modification and support and Niaz respond almost directly and the modification was fixed within 36 hours
I am very happy with the result.
I had the free version and it gave me problems after I did an update. If the pages are deleted by accident or if you have to delete and re-install due to technical issues, the process is extremely tedious. I had to call my hosting company twice to reset my site or add permissions on the back end.
And the person who owns or made the plug in, Niaz - is a spiteful person, who will make you purchase the plug in in order to get support, then dismantle your website claiming he's doing troubleshooting, then ignore you when he's annoyed with you, and last but not least, throw all of you shopping cart pages in the trash and disappear.
I have been using this plugin for nearly a year with no problems at all but just recently a fault developed where the add to cart button would not work. I contacted the developer and within 24 hours of sending him my details he had the issue fixed for me - that is incredible support from the developer of a plugin that is totally free! Thanks again Niaz, love your work and appreciate your backup support heaps!
Initially, used the free version, liked it, upgraded and now we're very happy.. Support came quick. Niaz called and emailed until problem was sorted. Been waiting for this type of plugin and we're stoked, it's cheap and brilliant.
This is a great plugin but the 'lite' version is limited and you will be strongly encouraged by the author to buy the 'premium' version when you ask for support. In fact, you will NEED the 'premium' version to do anything other than really basic stuff.
The 'premium' version (which, confusingly, has a different name) is inexpensive to purchase and works really well but is missing a few bits of core functionality (like merchant emails for the manual payment gateway, for example) and you will end up paying the author extra to supply the code unless you're pretty handy with PHP and SQL. That said, if you end up paying an extra $50 or so to get it fully functional it's still a reasonable buy.
The author (Niaz) is very friendly and replies promptly to support emails but often with requests for extra payment for code revisions or with slightly confused messages. So, patience is required but you should get there in the end!
Summary: The 'premium' version is a really fantastic, straightforward shopcart with plenty of functionality but you will have to be prepared for a bit of work and/or extra payment when needing modifications.
I have a client who is a professional musician, and she wanted to sell CDs on her new WordPress site that I created for her. I looked around for a plugin to do this, came across this one, and installed it. It was so easy, and it works great! She has already started getting orders.
There was an issue in the checkout process where the shipping charge would somehow end up as double what it should be. I contacted Niaz, and he helped me figure out where the trouble was - with Paypal. There was a setting in the client's Paypal account that told it to add a shipping charge to any orders, so that is what Paypal was doing. I changed that in the Paypal account and now it works 100% correctly.
This is definitely the plugin I will be using for any websites that sell products. If you want to see this one in action, check out

I'm using the FREE version, and the PayPal integration has yet to function properly. I click checkout and the page refreshes but never redirects to PayPal?!?!? I sent an email to the author on 8/27, and I received a pretty quick reply, but no resolution. He offered to assist, and I never heard back. I'm hesitate to upgrade because my issue with the free version is yet to be resolved.
P.S. I am, however, happy for the people who are able to successfully use this plug-in. :)
P.P.S. My site is running on the Genesis framework. I'm not sure if that will mean anything to the author.
