Adds CAPTCHA anti-spam methods to WordPress on the forms for comments, registration, lost password, login, or all. For WP, WPMU, and BuddyPress.
Works like a charm on Buddypress, shows up on custom register-forms as well as all the regular forms.
The author of this plug-in has a grand total of three plug-ins published and I'm using all of them. Configuration has been easy in all cases, particularly with SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam and, while the CAPTCHA itself may not be the most sophisticated in the world, if it works, it works (and it does, by the way) - if not, I haven't spent a whole lot of time setting it up and won't bewail the lost effort.
I downloaded this one thinking it was the exact fit for my issues of SO many spam registrations, BUT it didn't stop anything. The very next day I had even more spam registrations. I think this thing does not stop the spam registrations like it says it does.
Thank you for great work. I Love it.
Keep your hard and great work.
To who want see sample captcha you can visit my site for example. Here
does its job, displays well on mobile and tablet devices.
thank you for this super plugin!
Works perfect on all wordpress updates we had until now (current version 3.5.1).
It's one of the not so many plugins that do not stop working after a wordpress upgrade.
We have installed it on the login page of admin, registration and lost password pages of all wordpress installations and this helps against spammers and brute force attacks enormously.
Great job, Mike!
its a exelent plugin thanks to creator.
I used SI Captcha for several years and it served me well. However, spammers got through more and more, to the point of dozens every day. Inspecting the logs, I could see them requesting the post, requesting the captcha image, and then posting spam comments. Either there are smart bots and the captcha isn't hard enough, or spammers have an easy way to get humans to complete these captchas en masse...
I switched to Conditional Captcha, which I've configured to use reCaptcha, and I haven't had spam since.
I'd like to see more color variation in the output to assist those who are red-color-blind (among others) in seeing a captcha after refreshing a possibly bad one they cannot see clearly.
Also Mike, you might consider incorporating reCaptcha, since both other plugins here on WP site seem to have ceased development.
I've used your si-contact-form plugin before and it was nice to find this as well, when I needed it. most of the other captcha choices were abysmal. :D
