Supercharge your WordPress theme with mega pack of shortcodes
Updates broke my client's website by adding the prefix. Default should have been to have no prefix and big warning prior to adding one. Instead you chose to add a prefix where one wasn't required previously. Keep in mind that some of us are actually trying to make a living developing web sites and cant' afford to have inconsiderate and obviously poor design break the site immediately upon updates. In addition, the short code generator is broken as it just spins without generating code, etc. The reminder to add a review and to otherwise rate the plugin is broken also as it does't stay dismissed.
Here's the link to version 3.9.5 which works for me:

Nice little tool, but the author has made several upgrades that aren't backwards compatible. He's also difficult to work with and is an outright ass at times. He obviously doesn't do thorough testing and has no concept of lifecycle management.
I have had to go back and remake things in shortcodes just because I upgraded and the upgrades broke my previous shortcodes.
Nice widget if it would work. Easy to follow directions. Unfortunately the short code produced is invalid and will not work when pasted on to page. Misformed code shows up on the page with no intended effect.
Tried to resolve issue and was told to follow the directions that produced the invalid code in the first place.
This plugin works great, and is really easy to use. However, it updates, all of the shortcodes you created before the update will be broken. I Still haven't been able to fix my site, and haven't gotten much help on forums either.
Where is "fancy_link" ? How add to plugin manualy?
3.x has been a great plugin--an all-around workhorse.
Beginning with 4.0, the author has changed many of the shortcodes, making it incompatible with designs using 3.x. Bad news, bad decision.
I've been chagrined to note that when people complain on the support forums, the creator's fallback position is to say, "Hey, I've been warning you for a year!"
Long and short of it is... if you're installing this fresh, it's likely to work well. The old version did.
If you're updating the plugin, be sure you're backed up first. Better yet, just don't do it.
