Adds an attractive social bookmarking menu and related content widget to your posts, pages, index, or any combination of the three.
looks really nice :)
unchecked the shareable images button.
I think it is a good idea to describe this feature better.
When an user tries to share content, the plugin does not allow it unless he gives access to Shareaholic app in his Twitter or Facebook account, which is unnecessary and suspicious. Better try another plugin.
Disappointed that this was not easy to set up at all.
In order to get the side-floating bar, it was necessary to create a login account at shareaholic.com. I can handle that part, but the configuration of the side-floating bar is then configured at shareaholic.com, so you have two places to configure your share icons rather than (simply) your WordPress dashboard.
For the life of me I could not work out where to configure the look of the side-floating bar. Once I found the settings on the shareaholic.com website (a tiny cog icon), I was disappointed to see that I couldn't configure the look of the side-floating bar icons (e.g. make the corners rounded or change the count number format)
The pop-up configuration screens within the WordPress dashboard are annoying and do not fit within the framework of the WordPress dashboard look. And it took me a while to work out that the save settings button was hidden below the bottom of my screen, so my settings were not being saved when I assumed I just had to close the popup window.
The floating side-bar seemed to load every time I clicked on a new page, which makes for slow reloading.
One the dashboard settings (remember you have to check *either* the dashboard or the shareaholic.com website for the settings you need), mentions the 'index' location for the share buttons, but I could not find information about where that is. At first I thought it might have referred to the floating sidebar, but no.
The floating sidebar did not show up on my responsive theme on mobile.
Overall I was disappointed and frustrated enough to specifically log back in to WordPress.org to give this review. It is just not intuitive to setup and it's a shame because it looks like it has potential. But the setup interface is just a nightmare.
I had a problem with the way my WordPress site was interfacing with our Shareaholic web account. Mary Anne, a "Happiness Engineer" helped me throughout the day until it was fixed and working properly. I like a lot of things about the plugin (and some things can use improvement, imho), but I really appreciate the effort Mary Anne put in to helping me solve our problem quickly.
Great product and supportive service
After installing it for a test, some Bot came from amazonaws.com trying to get sitemap etc etc. Who knows what will come next.
Since we want NO MORE CRAP Bots and scrapers, we completely deleted the plugin.
We've seen a significant rise in visitor engagement to our blog posts since installing this plugin, very impressed.
installed it on our my website [ link deleted, please do not post links in reviews ]
