Implements a MD5 hash based multiple database sharding structure for WordPress network blog tables.
I was having a panic attack when I found out that my hosting company's "unlimited" databases could only have 1,000 tables max (each) and that my multisite was already up to 400-500 tables in two weeks. I wasn't sure if I was going to have to move to a different hosting service or how to split the database.
Even in panic attack mode, I was able to install SharDB and convert my single database into 16 databases pretty easily and straight-forwardly (assuming you can log into cpanel, create databases, and follow instructions). I did buy the optional manual from the wpebooks site, and I highly recommend that as well.
I can't thank you enough for this plugin and the installation manual. This week, I actually had time to split a database, avoid a near-disastrous web database server situation and still go to my regular Yoga classes and my daughter's soccer game.:)
