Plugin does exactly what it says!
By , for WP 3.8

Ok so first of all the plugin does work exactly the way it says it does. Anyone who says otherwise simply does not have the plugin and / or there push notification server configured properly.

Neither the plugin or the php notification server documentation are very well done which makes getting the plugin up and running a bit of a pain, but again it does work as described. Use the documentation provided from the Apple Developer website, the server implamentation is straight out of the companion files for setting up push notifications with a few small modifications for accepting variables.

Be aware of the following, to make this work you will need:

  1. A server with a dedicated IP address that has a verified ssl certificate installed (you can not use a self signed one, and it must match the domain).
  2. You must have an Apple Developer Account for creating certificates for communicating with apple servers for sending push notifications.

I am certainly glade to have gotten it up and running but it certainly wasn't easy.
