This lightweight WordPress plugin provides a widget and shortcode to display related posts as thumbnails, links, excerpts or as full posts.
So far the easiest and best looking solution for contextual related posts in the sidebar. Please go on developing this plug-in.
I was looking for a plugin like this one!
This one include a shortcode and an attribute "include_term" which I didn't find in any other related post plugin, and I needed this so it is perfect!
And great support from the dev keesiemeijer on the forum so thank you very much!
Works as advertised, author is a baller with support.
Works great and has a decent amount of shortcodes to make the plugin behave exactly how you want. Great support.
I hope you continue to develop the plugin.
Your plugin has just saved me hours of anticipated headaches. Thank you!
I build sites for clients for a living and when I'm looking to bring a good deal of customization to my WordPress sites, one of the biggest hurdles is finding just the right plugins that will give my clients exactly what they want to bring their vision to life.
I found this plugin recently for a client who wanted to place thumbnails of related posts below the posts. Right out of the box without much any customization this fit the bill perfectly. And with all the various customizations options, it just sweetened the deal - so to speak.
But then, I needed to be able to make a change that was not readily available with the plugin as it is currently developed. Not a big deal, but just something my client wanted. I contacted the plugin developer (thank you keesiemeijer!!!) and they helped me by providing exactly the changes I needed to make to my theme. I could not have gotten there without the help.
So...do yourself a favor, if you need a good "Related Posts" plugin for your WordPress install -- get this one. I promise you, you won't be disappointed...
Great plugin and simple to use. If you want to use the thumbnails format for the related posts and don't always set a featured image, you can add a few lines of code to your function file or download a plugin that does it for you.
