Create beautiful recipes that readers can print, save and review. Recipe Card optimizes your recipes for search engines and generates nutrition facts.
Had some customization questions and Chris was amazing. He emailed back in minutes and on the weekend. He went above and beyond the support I expected from a free plugin. Definitely recommend using this plugin. The support is amazing and it's easy to customize.
I am in love with this app. I love how easy it is to use, and how customizable it is, including allowing the ability to easily incorporate my site's colors, font styles etc.
Best of all, the tech support for the app is great! I ran into an issue and Chris went out of his way to help me, and was super-responsive to all my requests.
I'm ecstatic to be using Recipe Card on my site.
Phenomenal! This has taken my website recipe cache from so-so to awesome: it's user-friendly, presents content beautifully, and is a great way to store content in an easy-to-access place.
I absolutely love this plugin. It's very attractive and has a lot of layout options. Being able to save and print makes it the best! I recommend this plugin to everyone. Also the support staff is incredible. I had a minor problem which I caused they graciously worked with me to get it resolved. Kudo's to Chris, you rock!
We run a consumer food recipe blog promoting our brand of oils and vinegars and needed a customisable recipe plugin. The one in our theme was ok but didnt offer all we wanted. This is just the bees knees! I love the fact you can customise the look, fonts, backgrounds etc. I also look forward to seeing further functionality in terms of easily adding hyperlinks and adding your own logo or graphic to your recipe card.
The Recipe Box feature is a nice idea and the Print Feature. It would be nice to see Facebook and Twitter share options too! What a great start for a well thought out plugin. A worthy 5 stars.
I love the idea of the plugin and would gladly pay for the same if it meant I could use it to host recipes on my own site. Instead, this plugin hosts recipes on Yumprint.com, requiring the blogger (and readers) to sign up and interact with Yumprint in order to post, store, save, print, and share recipes.
If I were to move forward with this plugin, it would mean I could never switch to a different plugin or change the way I handle my recipe data, because I wouldn't have the recipe data. It would all be on Yumprint.com, where it can't be exported.
All in all, this is a beautiful plugin, but completely wrong for me (and in my opinion, for any food blogger).
This plugin can not be used on its own like all other plugins. When trying to insert a recipe on a post, you are forced to signup to use it (and be connected each time you want to add a recipe).
If people want to leave a review of your recipe ON YOUR SITE they are forced to join yumprint website too.
Make it clear in the description and the installation that forced signup is required.
Plugin deleted. Plugins leaves files in database. Needs database cleaning afterwards.
I just installed the recipe card plugin and love the features. It makes my baking blog look more professional and gives my readers the option to save or print my recipes. This keeps my blog relevant and my readers organized. Chris over at Yumprint helped me figure out the best layout for the plugin on my blog. It looks perfect and I appreciate the time and support he gave me.
Below is my original review and feedback for this plug-in. I have since read the terms (https://yumprint.com/terms) of use and realized that the service sucks a copy of the recipe ingredients and text into it's own service both using THIS plug-in and an independent browser plug-in (in other words anyone ELSE can suck a copy of your recipe).
I spoke to the developers who are very nice and enthusiastic - the WANT to offer a useful tools to both "content providers" (that's you) and cooks.
HOWEVER, they do not seem to understand that once the recipe is sucked and in their service my web site's readers no longer have a reason to come back. Other readers can just search for my recipes on their service (now they have to "unlock" a recipe) but it does not sit well with me that I have to compete with my own recipes that were sucked out of my website without my permission (independent browser plug-in) even though I removed Recipe Card (WordPress plug-in).
I wish the developers the best of luck with their project but it's just not for me.
Now to figure out how to block their browser plug-in from sucking out my copy-written recipes out and posting them in their service verbatim without my permission - despite what their usage terms say YOUR RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS ARE COPYRIGHTED and this service does not have the right to copy them without YOUR PERMISSION.
"Very nice customizable plug-in. The result is not only lovely but SEO friendly but it's very easy to copy and paste my old recipes in the new plug-in.
I e-mailed support and got a response within an hour.
Try it, you won't be disappointed!"
