Useless Plugin
By , for WP 3.8.2

It shows you backed up files but when I click on Download it takes me to the main page and I cannot download backup. So a useless plugin!

The WordPress dashboard is filled with Warnings and errors
By , for WP 3.8.1

When I installed and activated the plugin my dashboard is filled with warnings and errors:

Notice: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0! Usage of user levels by plugins and themes is deprecated. Use roles and capabilities instead. in /var/www/blog1/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3006

Notice: Undefined index: common in /var/www/blog1/wp-content/plugins/ready-backup/classes/errors.php on line 83

Notice: Undefined index: jquery in /var/www/blog1/wp-content/plugins/ready-backup/classes/frame.php on line 308

When I clicked on "Start using Plugin", it just got stuck.

Paid for the pro version
By , for WP 3.8.1

I bought the pro plugin and it doesn't work with Dropbox. Backups never finish. The plugin also broke my WordPress backend until I uninstalled and reinstalled.

Waste of time, doesn't do half its description, overpriced
By ,

Wasted 8 hrs taking backing up and restoring my wordpress site from one host to another only to find that it didn't take a backup of the plugins, themes, images in the upload folder and much more even though I had the following options selected:

Full Backup X
Database backup
Plugins folder X
Themes folder X
Uploads folder X
Any folder inside X
Safe Update X

Moreover, it broke the wp-admin page because the database backup was invalid/corrupted.

I would have lost everything if I wasn't able to access the old host and manually backup the database via phpmyadmin and the wordpress files via ftp.

I would discourage anyone from installing this plugins unless they want to put their blog at risk and take useless backups.

One final note, there are other backup plugins that DO allow backing up to dropbox and remote ftp servers for free without shelling out about $30 per website and you can be damn sure I will be installing those instead.

No automated jobs. Can't get dropbox uploads to work. NOT user-friendly!
