Shrink, beautify, track, manage and share any URL on or off of your WordPress website. Create links that look how you want using your own domain name!
I love it!
This is a great little plug-in that just works. However, I had one problem.
I created my site on a development domain and later moved to a production domain with a different domain name. Unfortunately, this plug-in stores its data, with domain name, in a database table. After the switch to the production system, I had to go into the database and make the domain name changes. It would obviously be better if this could have been taken care of automatically or that relative URLs could have stored.
Bought Pretty Link Pro and love it!
Makes links far more user friendly and professional looking..
Started January 1st.
Goal for January with lite Pretty Link use was 2,000 unique hits because I did not have that many reviews ready for publication.
So January Goal was 2,000 unique hits.
Over 20,000 Unique Hits in first month of use!
I have spent a number of hours testing a number of different link cloaking plugins, there was a problem with each such as not working at all, being too complicated, or being difficult to understand. So very happy to have remembered Pretty Links, it is simple, it effectively cloaks links and does just what I wanted. I am looking forward to the link tracking, I have used Pretty Links before and found the link tracking useful as well. You have a happy camper here!
Amazing how easy it is to setup outbound links with this plugin. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my affiliate links are tracked.
If you are considering purchasing the premium version of this PrettyLinks plug-in I would strongly advise against it. The plug-in author promises premium support. He even provides a premium support email form page. However he will completely ignore any support requests sent via this form.
He will continue to send you his email promotions of other products he is promoting.
I'm using Pretty Link Lite to evaluate the usefulness of a QR-code by counting hits on its link, which redirects to my site's home page. I tried half a dozen other redirection plugins before this one, and none of them were satisfactory. Most failed to count hits properly, one imposed an unacceptable delay before completing the redirection, and one failed completely, resulting in 404 errors.
So it was a great relief to find Pretty Link, and I recommend it without reservation.
Generally, I’d say Pretty Link Lite is a decent plugin. Keeping track of affiliate links with it is a lot simpler than other methods. The plugin has a lot of good features for an affiliate link manager. Some of the highlights include:
That said, there are some things that I’d love to see improved, in particular the UI and the code quality.
