An easy to use plugin for quotes and testimonials! It integrates easily using a widget or shortcode. It does quotes perfectly!
Easy to use and stylize.
One thing I thought was weird was that you insert the quote where the title usually goes, which was a little confusing at first.
Overall just a terrific plug-in.
Experienced a few minor issues with how the shortcode and widget display the data inconsistently.
If you only plan to use one or the other, than you just work with that.
Styling is kind of off, and this plug has a few small bugs. If you need to edit a quote, you can't "quick edit" it from the list page otherwise all of the authors will be deleted.
Out of the many quotes & testimonials plugins for WP this one has the easiest installation and use. I only utilize the shortcode functionality which IMHO works great. The plugin also offers a sidebar widget, but it provides much less control in terms of headings and CSS styling.
Every site has different expectations and needs for plugins and this one has worked great for 2 different sites.
If I leave the widget title blank, it still creates a widget title of "Perfect Quotes". I don't want any title, just the quotes.
I want to have random quotes formatted in the widget. The only way I can see to do this is to use short-code in the widget and add my own css. But I don't see a short-code for random quotes. "BHM Random Quote" plugin works better for this by telling the user what css wraps the quote (but this plug-in has no categories)
I use post titles in my permalinks. Perfect Quote creates a permalink that contains the entire quote so I have to change the permalink to something more reasonable.
Sweet and simple plugin that does one thing and does it good. Just enough amount of options, pleasure to work with.
This is a great way to easily display quotes / testimonials in the sidebar of your site, and have them rotate /display randomly.
I wasn't able to change the name of the Widget using the 'Title' field on the Widgets page, so I just edited it in the .php. Maybe that is an issue with 3.4.1?
Also, the text had CSS Span to be italic in the, but on the site it actually wasn't... so I also had to adjust the PHP.
