The NS Cloner saves multisite admins LOTS of time by enabling them to clone existing sites in their network to a completely new site in a few seconds.
I don't want to think what it would be like without NS Cloner. I have to set up new users and new sites regularly, and starting from scratch each time would take much of my day. With NS Cloner, I can do the equivalent of 8 hours of work in under a minute.
Thanks so much for the update to allow using it with sub-folder MU sites! It works like a charm. This should be part of anyone's WP multi-site toolbox. Donation coming.
Cloning-wise, this plug-in worked like a charm! The only thing the plugin doesn't do is duplicate the theme folder for the cloned site... so it's pulling all the info from the original theme folder. With that being said, you can't make changes to solely the cloned site - it'll affect both the cloned site and the original.
To try to work around this, I duplicated the theme folder and renamed it, and then I activated the duplicate theme on the cloned site and deactivated the original. For the most part, it worked... But for whatever reason, some of the styling didn't carry over.
The best plugin out there to make copies of your website.
Cloning was never easier, and support for the plugin is great too!
this plugins is awesome is one of the best I've
congratulations on work
Cloning sites is not a simple task, but this makes it look like it. And I can't speak more highly of the Pro version that allows you to run clone over sites and do selective cloning.
Don't hesitate. It is worth the time to install this on your multisite network.
I can't believe how many hours I have saved with this plugin. It is super-easy to use and does what it says it will do. Select your source, name your new site and then clone away!
The pro version has great features as well and I'm glad I got that and you probably will, too, if you need to duplicate any blogs--theme and content.
I've spend 15 minutes trying to find something that says "clone" in my settings and ANY tab on the left.
I don't know how to get the thing even going.
Going back to Duplicator which works like a champ....
just does exactly what it says !! ^^
It just worked perfectly. I tried it out on a fairly clean site and all I needed to update was the site tagline once the clone was created. If your site doesn't use a tagline, then go for it, follow the 4 simple steps. :) Thanks for an awesome plugin.
