Detects your visitor's screen size and automatically creates, caches, and delivers device appropriate re-scaled versions of your uploaded images.
Only problem is it presumes your upload folder is a subfolder of wp-content. Mine isn't - I have it at the site root under /media. Have to hack the plugin a bit to get that working (left a note in the support forum). Otherwise, it's an easy way to get [ link redacted, please don't post links in reviews ] set up on your wordpress site.
Thanks for the work!
I was going to made when my client asked to used adaptive images for his website. I had used one plugin that did not work. I started to search some custom solution and found this plugin. Unbelievable results. Working perfectly. Thank you to save my life.
It would be nice if the plugin would automatically calculate breakpoints and cache images accordingly.
I'm running a photo blog and performance is very important to me as I have large photos (width = 2,000+ px) that are loaded very slow on mobile devices. I did found the adaptive-images.com and their approach was liked by me. And this plugin delivers all the functions of the approach.. This is great and seems to work on all devices.
It works as advertised: set the image break points and then small-screen devices will be sent images down-sized to their screen width. Improves performance for most mobile users.
Now my mobile browser doesn't show any picture anymore. Tried Opera mobile and Chrome mobile.
Wow! A great plugin, works flawlessly and saved me a few days of head scratching
It works perfectly on wordpress 3.5.2. a must have for photographer portfolio website that wish to show a higher resolution for newer devices and want to maintaing accessbility on smaller device also.
I love it and it works great without any problems.
