A user, role, and content management plugin that makes WordPress a more powerful CMS.
Should be a core wordpress feature. Kudos to the author!
Great plug-in. Very useful!!! Thank you.
Shuld be in the wordpress core
Use it all development sites to block anonymous access. And in production when the client needs more control.
Justin's plugins are always my first choice :)
The members plugin is a nice helper to manage and customize user roles.
It works but the "capability counter" shows more capabilities than it will reveal to you when editing.
For example, the Contributor Role normally has only three capabilities but the counter shows "5". When you edit the capabilities, the counter suddenly jumps by a number that doesn't correspond to what you added or removed.
The developer was disinterested in properly explaining this behavior to me and seemed annoyed by my question. He ignores all support requests posted here and instead expects users to join his private forum for an annual fee. Sorry, not after the response I received from him.
I removed this plugin and installed "Capability Manager Enhanced" which is much better organized.
Hi Justin, thanks for a great plugin. I like the way it just seamlessly integrates with the WordPress Dashboard.
I installed it with Version 3.8.1 and all looks well, except for one subtlety, which I have not quite confirmed: After adding a new role, the roles index showed that subscribers have 3 functionalities, while only two are visible (with checkboxes) when editing subscriber roles.
Thanks for the great job!
Great to enable more secure content on the site.

5 stars when the content is completely invisible (also in the menu) and with child pages
