Simple customisable plugin that displays a name/email form where visitors can submit their information, manageable in the WordPress admin.
I have only just installed it as a widget in my sidebar but it does what I need, which is to collect email addresses which I can export to gmail or Mailchimp.
Re the validation comments in other reviews - it will accept any old text as input but it only seems to add valid email addresses to the list.
This is the kind of stuff that makes WordPress a winner, thanks.
Developer was right, there isn't anything else out there like it.
I don't need to do email blasts from my website every time there's a new post (which is NOT used as a blog btw).
I just needed something that looked professional that gives my visitors the option to provide me with their email addresses and names.
I can do my own blasts and I can manage my own database.
As long as I can export the list to excel, I'm good to go.
Maybe when I decide to have more "active participation" and conversation on my website... I'll look into another plug in.
But I doubt it... because after all... isn't that what social media's for?
Nice and easy. Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot for such a nice plugin.
I also think an email notification to admin is necessary. Many don't check their website on a daily basis to see if they have new subscribers. So receiving emails is very good. Subscriber2 plugin does this but it doesn't have Name field in the form.
This is just what I was looking for. Most of the subscriber plug-ins are a bit complicated. I needed something simple to collect names and email addresses.
Works just the way it says it does.
Thanks so much.
Thanks to the js validation that I found in the forum, this is totally filling the needs that I have for a client. I hope this plugin continues to be maintained. I like the captcha idea people had, and maybe the ability to get a notification email when someone subscribes would be useful.
Thanks for this - great to have something as simple to install and use as this, and which doesn't force paid upgrades to extract data etc. Two fairly simple upgrades would give it 5 stars from me:
1. verification that input is actually a valid email address;
2. option to integrate CAPTCHA, e.g. the Really Simple Captcha plugin developed for Contact Form 7, and (I believe) fairly easy to use with other plugins.
I am no computer wiz, and this took me about 5 minutes to add to my website. Just what I was looking for!
Nice to have all the features I required, without having to hack at code.
