The plugin provides the shortcode 'links'. This shortcode shows all links having specified characteristics, following a specified template.
Just what I was looking for.

But maybe you should already insert a default template so user can see at once that it works. I was a bit confused until I read hat I had to insert a template. users are lazy

I tested several plugins to display my lists of links, and this one is perfect!
It allows to classify the links by category, to display them properly with a logo or banner whenever possible, plus the link and a small description, it's exactly what I wanted. But others will be able to configure differently, it's easy.
Really delighted with this plugin :-)
